It seems like only yesterday that we were all gathered for a night of food, gaming, prizes and fellowship at the 10th Annual AHEPA Chapter 519 Scholarship Game Night on February 25, 2023. Some highlights:
- We raised approximately $4,000 to help provide scholarships to deserving students in the Atlanta Area.
- Over 65 people enjoyed beef tenderloin, salmon, green beans almondine, chocolate mouse and other mouth watering delicacies. Our compliments to the chefs – Harry Kipreos, Athan Tsarouhas, Ron/Christine Sprouse (appetizers) and Alex Miltiades’ serving team.
- Attendees played craps, roulette, black jack and other games with everyone coming out a winner!
- Athan Tsarouhas was the big winner of this year’s 50/50 Drawing. The amount continues to grow every year. Big thanks to Angelo Angelakis for all his help with the Drawing.
- A 55″ Smart TV, Braves tickets and a $250 gift card to target were the grand prizes this year. Over 30% of people in attendance won something from our biggest prize table yet, valued at over $3,000. Thanks to Paul Markley for all his hard work.
- Using the full bar in the reception area made for great socializing. Thanks to our bartenders Dennis Christopher and Any Greene for taking care of everyone.
- Over 10 brothers from Chapter 1 in Atlanta attended the event. Chapter 1 President Ted Pruitt and District Governor John Sinas were also in attendance.
The demand for scholarships continues to grow in the US and Atlanta Area. Events like this make it possible for the AHEPA Mother Lodge Chapter No. 1 Educational Fund to continue its important work. Thanks to all the donors that make this event possible!
See you all next year!!
