On September 21, 2023 the Prometheus Chapter of AHEPA started it’s annual operating year with the traditional kick-off dinner. This year’s dinner was held at Vingenzo’s Italian Restaurant and has attended by 13 brothers. During the business portion of the meeting two critical pieces of business were conducted.
First, officers for the upcoming year were selected: Dr. Andy Green (President), Spiro Nicolopoulos (Vice President), Ron Sprouse (Treasurer) and Paul Markley (Secretary). Congratulations to all these officers, and a big thank you to the prior executive team for their leadership over the last two years.
Second, District 1 of AHEPA recognized Mr. Paul Markley as Secretary of the year in our Region. Paul does outstanding work managing the communications of Chapter 519 in addition to frequently supporting the Chapter’s events with his time, talent and treasure. Congratulations Paul!
Thanks to the help of over 20 brothers and friends of AHEPA, the Chapter was able to hold its most successful Pancake Breakfast in history. Approximately 100 people enjoyed regular, chocolate chip and baklava pancakes and all the fixens of a traditional Southern breakfast. Net proceeds of the event exceeded $1,100 which directly go to fund college scholarships of deserving students in the Atlanta Area. Thank you to all who supported the event.
